Entry for September 26, 2007

Welcome to 31 Days of Kindness
If you're having difficulty following the theme click here and all will be revealed
(The Link also gives the Rules on What Qualifies as a Kind Act)
Remember to let me know you're own little Acts of Kindness in the Comments
Kind Act Count to Date: 96
Day 25 I vowed some weeks ago not to get my haircut until I'd submitted The Book to the publishers. As a result I am now beginning to resemble a cross between James May off of Top Gear and an unruly privet hedge. If I do not finish soon, I may get an audition for Motorhead.
As an unwelcome side effect, whenever I walk past a barber's shop, I get a pang of guilt at not being chained to my laptop hammering away at another draft. I have been tempted on more than one occasion to run into the shop and yell: "I'm doing the shopping! My family has to eat!" I have resisted thus far.
I am actually now beginning to think that my knowledge on Financial Provision on Divorce is now actually contained in my hair, and if I get it cut, the knowledge will be shorn from me. I am like Samson, except instead of being a strong and handsome hunk of a man, I am somebody who knows far too much about Bye v Bye (still, for my money, the most aptly named divorce case in legal history).
Anyway, I managed to squeeze in a Kind Act today. I have bought flowers for my mother-in-law. I hope to glean the reward in the form of roasted cheese, rolls and square sausage and other tasty treats from her kitchen.
