Kind Act Count to Date: 68
Day 16 Gypsy has radically increased the Kind Act count today by 5 (count em - yes 5) Kind Acts. My own small contribution was to offer a pal a place to stay next time he's in town.
The Small Bald Person went to Mother and Toddlers Group for the first time to day. I think that this group serves two principal functions. Firstly, it ensures that your child (and therefore you) will be exposed to and will catch every possible virus which is currently in circulation.
Secondly the Mother and Toddler Group serves as a vital forum for middle class parents to compare the progress of their child against children of similar ages.
"Oh look at Tarquin - he knows all his colours already."
"Yes, but Hannah's only eighteen months and she's already very good on her feet."
"Yes. But Tarquin's able to balance four coloured blocks on top of one another."
"Hannah can stand on one leg."
"Tarquin's doing long division."
"Hannah's trying out for the Commonwealth Games Diving squad."
And so on and so forth.
