Kind Act Count to Date: 45
Day 13 My goodness. I mentioned that some old photos have been doing the e-mail rounds from a few of my old friends from school. Clearly the fact we are all hitting forty is causing some retrospective gazing through largely rosey-tinted spectacles. Whilst we fondly remember our first holidays away from home and our first taste of freedom, we seem to have forgotten the acne and the long, long years without women.
All of a sudden all of my old school friends are emmerging from the ether. Obviously this is the 21st century, so I haven't actually seen any of them, but their e-mail adresses testify that they are out there somewhere at the other end of a wi-fi connection. Each time my e-mail pings "New Message" with the address of another long-lost friend it feels a bit like another one of the undead has risen from his grave. My Inbox feels a bit like the house in a zombie flick. I thought I was safe in here, but now there are ashen faced people banging on the windows, and I fear that they are not Jehovahs Witnesses. Worse, I fear that one of them might disclose The Embarrassing Incident Involving Me In Mr Skeen's Art Class In Second Year. I shall be rumbled.
As my kind Act of the day, I forwarded a big batch of the photos to my pal who emmigrated to the Emirates. He will be fresh meat for the zombies. With some luck they will move away from my windows.
