Remember to let me know you're own little Acts of Kindness in the Comments
Kind Act Count to Date: 29
Day 8 Seven Kind Acts in one day. A record for the Blog of Kind Acts. The growth rate is exponential. Highlights today - in America a little voodoo death band is brightening the life of a small girl; and in the Middle East our new Emissary in the Emirates is promoting interfaith harmony and receiving karmic samosas in return.
My own contribution seems paltry by comparison. I took half an hour to send an e-mail to a pal of mine who emigrated earlier this year. I thought he might like to hear that our dreary lives march on wearily towards lacklustre retirement and certain death, while he soaks up the sun on some balcony in paradise. I hope he feels homesick.
I appreciate that this was not one of my bigger kindnesses, but today was a day that started with a phrase that I never expected would ever enter my conversational universe. My wife woke me with this romantic comment - "Move your head, you're lying on the baby's sick cloth."
