Welcome to 31 Days of Kindness
If you're having difficulty following the theme click here and all will be revealed
(The Link also gives the Rules on What Qualifies as a Kind Act)
Remember to let me know you're own little Acts of Kindness in the Comments
Kind Act Count to Date: 109
Day 31 Well, that's it. It's over. Our month of Kind Acts is complete. And we finished strongly with Gypsy performing friendly acts towards trapped motorists, me buying wine for loved ones and JJ making one of her secretaries cry. Someone mysterious even donated to my Justgiving charity fundraising page. If you've enjoyed the 31 Days of Kindness experiment, I urge you to do likewise. A few quid or dollars or whatever in the hands of the lovely people at Sense Scotland will go a long way. Plus if I get a few more donations, they will have to get me a trip to Las Vegas as a thank you. It's the rules. If they check the small print of their constitution they will find it is true. I only support charities who promise to take me on gambling trips. It is a win win situation.
I am proud of you all. Kind Actors throughout the world. You have brightened days; lightened loads; and on one occasion rescued an injured turtle. I am astonished we made it to 100 Acts of Kindness.
Was it worth it? You tell me. It was from my point of view. I have regained contact with old friends and remembered how an unexpected bunch of flowers can brighten someone's day. Sure - it was a struggle to find a kind act every day; the pressure of having to find just one extra special nice thing each day was immense. But then again, imagine how Jesus, Buddha and Cliff Richard must have felt - they had to be kind every day. Except when Cliff did that version of The Lord's Prayer to the tune of Auld Lang Syne - then he betrayed his evil side. But in all honesty it only made me love him more, the old tennis-playing bachelor boy rogue that he is.
At any event, I must now shed my cloak of kindness and return to my unhelpful ways. But it is with a slightly wistful glance behind me towards a little trail of happy acts. Marsh lights in the swamp.
Thanks.
