Kind Act Count to Date: 103
Day 30 Kind Act performed - a little present is winging its way towards a friend of mine as we speak. And only one more day to go before I can return to my grumpy, unkind ways.
This will please me greatly as I do not feel very kind today because the selfish postal workers have gone on strike. This is very annoying because I have ordered several CDs from amazon.com and they are now all stuck in asorting office in Leeds where they will no doubt languish for months under a pile of Readers Digest Prize Draw slips. Meanwhile postal workers everywhere will warm their hands around braziers (probably fuelled by Christmas cards for sick children) and sing We Shall Overcome.
Next time a postie wants to buy a house from me, I shall tell him the day before settlement that I am on strike, and he cannot get his keys until I get a pay rise. I imagine that he will smile a smile of solidarity at me and wish me all the best in my fight against the oppressive forces of capitalism.
