I received a text from one of the actors in Sketchy! last night. He asked whether I thought the "Nathan the Pup" sketch was working.
I resisted the urge to text back in the following therms -
"The Nathan the Pup sketch? Why on earth are you concerned about that? After all you are a forty year old man who is going to have to come on stage in front of a crowd of very small children pretending to be a dog with a cockney accent - what could be more natural than that? And anyway - the dog mask with the floppy ears which cost £2.99 is clearly the comic icing on an already hysterical cake. I simply do not understand your concerns."
However I did not text back in these terms. I simply said -
"Yes"
which I thought was more supportive.
