I have secured Mrs B with an interview on the radio on Monday. It's on L107 on Monday at 10.30ish, and it's a bit of publicity for the forthcoming show.
Some of you may not have heard of L107. Your lives are the poorer for this. It is Lanarkshire's very own radio station. As best I understand it, they broadcast from a garden shed somewhere near Hamilton Racecourse. If you listen carefully, you can often hear the horses whinnying in the background during the breakfast show.
At any event, Practical Magic Theatre are the perfect interviewee for L107, given that we are the fourth best theatre company in Tannochside. The precious L107 10.30am slot is rightfully ours. Can you imagine how many people will be listening at that moment? Imagine the denizens of Lanarkshire stirring from their Buckfast fuelled dreams. and catching the interview. They will leap from their beds and, pausing only don their shell suits and adjust their burberry baseball caps, they will rush like lemming to the Arts Centre to scoop up the remaining seats for the show.
I suppose that our ticket sales will spiral out of control, and I will receive a call from Drury Lane demanding that Sketchy! is brought to London immediately.
Of course, if anyone from L107 has Googled themselves, I am of course writing this in a witty tongue-in-cheek manner, and everyone in their right mind will understand that I am employing dramatic irony. I love you L107.
