Entry for March 12, 2007

I have been mysteriously invited back to the BBC for an interview with a producer. I don't know why, or what form the interview will take, but as best I can tell, I think they're bringing back some people who went to the group meetings to discuss a new radio sketch show. I suspect they have whittled down the number of applicants from 3,000 to several hundred.
Of course, perhaps the interview is for some other purpose. Maybe someone at the beeb saw Match Play tonight and wants to commission a six season series to be aired at prime time on a Friday night. Even if this hasn't yet occurred to them, if anyone at THE COMEDY UNIT googles themselves and finds this entry, perhaps they would like me to send them a script.
Anyway, it gives me another opportunity to knot up my stripy scarf and head into the West End to swan about in an arty manner. I will now start saving for a pair of convex trainers and those rectangular glasses. If I see any of you in town I shall ignore you unless you are connected with the meedya.
