Entry for March 07, 2007

I have been thinking about my heart murmur today. What is it murmuring? And why does it murmur so? Is one ventricle whispering sweet nothings, in an attempt to woo it? "Ooooh baby, I like it when you squeeze. Mmmm, you make me beat faster."
A heart murmur. It sounds almost soothing. I may invest in a stethoscope, and tune into my own chest of an evening to reduce stress. My little murmur, gently lulling me to sleep.
However, I hope that, when I press the cold steel of the stethoscope against my chest, that the faint liquid voice is not murmuring this: "I am broken. I am broken. You used me and now I cannot be mended."
