Entry for March 05, 2007

A busy night in prospect I think - I have brought some work home with me, in the hope that I can get ahead of the game for the rest of the week. However, The First Rule of Bringing Work Home is applying, namely that the apparent urgency and importance of items taken home from work diminishes the further from the office those items are.
The Second Rule of Bringing Work Home is that, the more work you bring home, the more important things around the house will appear. So, the Visa card bill you've been putting of paying, and the computer wires that require unravelling will gradually take on monumental status and suddenly leap to the top of your to do list. On some occasions, items that you didn't even realise were important will present themselves to you as of vital significance (making soup is often in this category for me).
However, I am resolved. I have IMPORTANT THINGS TO DO. I shall achieve them. I shall make progress. I will seize the moment.
Just after I sort these wires out.
