Entry for June 8, 2007

Well, that's Sketchy! up and running. Ticket sales picked up and I reckon the house was about half full for the opening show, which I think is pretty respectable because we don't really have a track record of doing children's shows locally.
I can't yet report to you how it's going because I haven't seen it all the way through. Regrettably the Small Bald Person is too young to sit all the way through a show. She required entertainment in other ways. Her favourite sources of entertainment at the moment are -
Pointing at a picture of a goat and shouting "Woof! Woof!". She is clearly showing signs of spectacular intelligencce even at this young age. We may need to hothouse her, to ensure that her genius is fully developed.
Whenever Mrs B is out the house (or indeed in any other room) shouting "Mummy. Mummy. Mummy. Mummy. Mummy." constantly. I smile and pretend I am not hurt because I am the least favoured parent.
Putting on a bangle and then waiting expectantly for you to say "Oooooh!" in an excited fashion. As far as I can see, most women do not ever lose this skill.
Brushing her own teeth then thrusting a soggy toothbrush in Dad's mouth shouting "Teeth!"
Carrying handbags.
