Entry for June 13, 2007

I have thought of a new idea for a TV programme. It is called People Who Aren't Very Famous, (But Who We'll Call Celebrities) Doing Something They're Not Even Famous For And Doing It Not Very Well.
Here is the pitch. A group of rather fourth rate not very famous people are gathered together e.g. an middle-aged man who once had a song at number 23 in the charts; some tart who shagged a guy who was formerly in Hollyoaks; and a pig called Bubbles who once appeared in an advert for Double Glazing ("Ooooh look how cozy Bubbles looks - that's the wonder of Weatherseal - it keeps your prize pigs snug." They are all thrown into a situation where they have to do something they are not very good at - e.g harvesting turnips; manufacturing paperclips; potting houmus.
Then - and here's the beauty of it - we film them doing all this. And we put on the telly on a Thursday night. Come on BBC - you know you want some of that.
