Day 11 of The YES Experiment
If anyone's having difficulty following the theme of these blog entries, click on the link above and all will be explained.
Still no evangelists.
I received a nice letter from The Playwrights' Studio Scotland about my play Match Play though - it suggests it might sit well as a tv serial and says I should definitely try submitting it for a TV treatment, because I might have a talent for television writing.
Frankly I have to take all this with a pinch of salt since the reader also suggests that I have handled all of the "story arcs" nicely. I have to doubt this, largely because I have no idea what a story arc is. My guess is that it is a very big boat that God asked Noah to build when the world flooded. He was commanded to round up two of every story genre - Agatha Christie and Raymond Chandler; Asimov and Herbert; Dawkins and the Bible and so on - and sail away so that the world could be seeded with books after the deluge.
Normally I just stick these letters in a file, but - as this is the month of Yes! - I am going to send the script off to the BBC tomorrow. I will transcribe the rejection slip in due course.
