Day 3 of The YES Experiment
Today saw me embrace YES by coming home at lunchtime - my Significant Other asked if I wanted to come home for a sandwich. Normally my brows furrow at this and I mutter something about being far too busy just now. I then scuttle off to the car in a bad mood cursing the fortune of those who have time to waste on lunch with their families. But today I said "Yes", much to my Significant Other's surprise. I suspect she secretly had to cancel a poker school so that her hidden gambling addiction would not be discovered.
So, I left work behind for an hour, and happily munched a cheese and ham roll with the Small Bald Person in the Summer sunshine. The SBP had a little pink hat on with a flap to cover her neck, and looked for all the world like the world's least bellicose foreign legionnaire.
Only Day three of the experiment, and all the YESES have led to positive results. I fear that the yang to the yin awaits and the universe is about to wreak its terrible revenge. But for now I shall roll with the yeses.
