Entry for July 06, 2007

The local bakers next to my office has gone all continental. They have placed two aluminium tables on the pavement outside.
This seems optimistic to me. Aulds is situated directly opposite Hamilton Sheriff Court, which is reputed to be the third busiest court in Europe. After a Sheriff and Jury trial, there must be a significant chance that the pavement outside Aulds is likely to be denuded. And somewhere, in the house of some lucky boy who managed to swing a "not proven" a teapot will sit under a burberry cosy on some rather smart new dining room furniture.
Time will tell, but for now during my morning coffee, I can sit in the sunshine and pretend I am in Milan. Fair enough, it's a Milan where there's a lot of fat women with tattoos, and where there's quite a strong smell of bacon rolls.
