Entry for January 1, 2007

Well, I spent a traditional New Year with my dad in St Andrews; that is to eating too much; drinking too much ; and watching television retrospectives of the year that's just gone by. It is good to be here, although if I stay much linger my stomach will explode. And that would not be good. Although I might feel a bit less bloated.
The New Year's always a time for reflection, and it has been a bit of a whirlwind brilliant year for me what with moving house and becoming a dad. And getting the X Box too obviously - that was good. I have a feeling 2007's going to be a big busy year too. No resolutions other than to definitely, certainly, without fail, finish the book. Soon. (42,000 words in the fair draft and counting as of today).
It's the last day of my holiday tomorrow, and although I've enjoyed the time off (I am now an expert at Peekaboo) I'm looking forward to getting a bit routine back. Remind me I said that when I'm tearing my hair out at work on Wednesday.
Tomorrow I start organisation in earnest for the Comedy Festival.
