Entry for January 09, 2007

I spent a pleasant lunch hour in PC World today, trying to solve my IT problem. The IT problem is that nothing works.
To try to make things work I bought stuff yesterday. I thought the stuff would make my computer work properly. It did not. The stuff appears to be inert and useless wires.
I explained this to the spotty condescending boy thing behind the counter at the advice section of PC World, and he explained to me that I needed more stuff to make yesterday's stuff work properly. He definitely smirked when he told me this. And no they did not have any of the magical new stuff in stock. They run low on that stuff at this time of year. Clearly it is bought by people who actually know what they need.
Anyway, now I need to go because I have to unplug all the leads on this computer and plug them into another computer to transfer files to this one.
Just a reminder that a better way to view the blog is through Yahoo 360 at http://360.yahoo.com/alanbayley - give it a try.
