I've been working over the past month or so trying to organise my new work website and it went live today - check it out at www.stodarts.co.uk - I think the designers have done a good job.
Websites are a kind of odd thing for a business like ours - if you don't have one you feel like you're falling behind the competition, but on the other hand we all managed fine without them until abour 5 years ago. It's the old thing about running faster and faster (and spending more and more money) to stand still. I see it with the Yellow Pages too. Not so long ago, avery lawyer just had a wee line entry with their name and address, but now there seems to be an arms race, with everyone spending more and more money on ever bigger and ever more colourful adverts. I suspect the only real winners are the yellow pages and the web designers.
Speaking of websites, there's still plenty of tickets left for Match Play from 11 to 13 March - you can get tickets from the comedy festival site and there's a spendid 2 for 1 deal available just now - phone up and quote "Playmatch" and you should get the deal. This is Day 2 of the tension headache, so I'm off now - any more staring at PC screens might just mean my head will explode.
