Entry for February 20, 2007

I have caught the cold that's been going round the office, so tonight's entry is brought to you under the influence of lemsip and oatcakes.
I was tutoring my poor Law Diploma students on Inheritance Tax forms today. This is a peculiar form of torture that is imposed on them - two long hours of laboriously filling out forms. I suspect that the designers of the course want to prepare the students for the fact that the world of the workplace might not be just as exciting as the re-runs of Ally McBeal might lead them to believe. If this was on the mind of the staff of the university, then they have succeeded in their goal.
Although they did not say anything, I could sense the thoughts of the ashen faced class -
Please make him stop.
I wish I'd kept up the piano lessons.
If I throw my mobile phone hard enough at his head, might it kill him.
Transfer the total in box WS3 to Box SP16 in the D4? Nooooooooo!
Will the job at WH Smith's still be open if I drop out now.
Obla Di Obla Da Life Goes on. Shit, I think he's seen the headphones.
