Having finished the Matchplay rewrite, and knowing that I have to get back onto the law book, I had a day of procrastination yesterday. If there was a place on the Commonwealth Games squad for procrastination then I'd be on it. Although, come to think of it, it's unlikely I'd turn up for the trials, because I would have found an interesting website about tropical fish which required in depth study.
So I had an evening of telly and the computer and, although it didn't really tick any of the boxes on my "to do" list (except the boxes that say "Slob out with a can of beer" and "You can always do it tomorrow"), I feel a bit more relaxed as a result.
My nephew helped my sister babysitting yesterday when I was off eyeing up middle aged men's convex trainers. He seemed to enjoy himself, becuase at the end of the session, he asked if he could take my daughter home with him. My sister - plainly an old hand at the parenting game - responded quick as a flash, explaining that if she came with them, then my nephew would have to throw out all his toys. He looked a bit suspiciously at my daughter, and then said (a little guardedly) - "But I love my toys."
