Entry for August 28, 2007

It's a curious thing. I am plodding along towards the conclusion of the law book that I am writing, and I realised today that I might actually miss the writing process. For quite a long time I've been moaning about the black cloud hovering above me representing the unfinished book, but I'm gradually realising that the journey is actually more important than the destination.
There is something relaxing about an hour or two to oneself, with the desk light on, some decent music, and the gentle hum of the hard disc. I will miss the big pile of folders crammed ful of case notes, and wrtingecking and cross-checking. Isn't that odd?
Of course, if I ever suggest wrting another law book, you still have my authority to hit me over the head repeatedly with a cricket bat.
