Entry for August 22, 2007

Day 30 of The YES Experiment
If anyone's having difficulty following the theme of these blog entries, click on the link above and all will be explained.
It's your last opportunity to ask me a question I can't refuse - as I mentioned yesterday, if you want to make a suggestion in the comments section, I'll consider all options tomorrow and answer Yes! to the one I like best...
I was really struggling with the third draft of The Book today, and I was ready for jacking it in. However, my Significant Other suggested I take the laptop out onto the patio. I didn't much feel like it - but I could not refuse - so there I was at 9pm, a coffee in hand, illuminated by the pale glow of the laptop.
I was like a young Hemingway. Except of course he wrote about catching marlin, and bullfighting, whereas I devote a whole chapter to Section 8(1)(aa) of the Family Law (Scotland) Act 1985. Otherwise, we were exactly the same.
Except he has a full beard, and I only have sideburns that make me look a bit like Englebert Humperdink.
And I've never been to Cuba.
