Entry for August 21, 2007

Day 29 of The YES Experiment
If anyone's having difficulty following the theme of these blog entries, click on the link above and all will be explained.
A challenge to anyone who wants to take it up: there are only 2 more days after today in the great Yes! experiment. If anyone wants to put a comment on over the next couple of days with a question that demands the Answer Yes! then I will consider all available options on the last day of the experiment. Suggestions must be achievable and legal.
You will all be pleased to know I smell lovely today due to a liberal spray of Lacoste deodorant. I'm pleased that the Power of Yes provided me with a pleasing perfume on the hottest day of the year so far. Instead of bringing a cloud of stale perspiration into the office, I was surrounded by a haze of designer smells that brought pleasure and sensory delight to anyone who turned their nose in my general direction.
A guy came to the door with a charity raffle tickets tonight, and the usual laminated i.d. card, and my immediate reaction was to yell "Get off my land. A curse on you and your scamming ilk." However, I hesitated, thought for a moment and said "Yes. Yes I will have some tickets."
So, Yes led me to a more charitable view of human nature, and hopefully my three quid will be relieving suffering somewhere next month. On the other hand, of course, it may be paying for a bottle of fortified wine somewhere in Glasgow as I type this. Either way, I feel like I have brought a little happiness into the world.
Remember to comment with your challenges to the Power of Yes!
