Beezer! After a really big push during the week I've had off work, the second draft of the book is complete. Everything is ordered and starting to feel like it's close to complete. I had to buy a new computer printer today, and it's been working overtime printing off the draft. There's now a pleasantly heavy ring-binder sitting in front of me.
I'm far from finishing, but I'm starting to feel my mood lighten a bit, because most of the really hard graft is done. There's still quite a lot of varnishing and polishing to do, but at least there isn't any more sawing logs and sanding down.
Just a very simple yes today - a quick lunch at the in-laws. I felt I shouild have been working, but the break did me good, and I had a great run at writing in the evening.
