Entry for August 18, 2007

Day 26 of The YES Experiment
If anyone's having difficulty following the theme of these blog entries, click on the link above and all will be explained.
We had a gig with Sketchy! at Lanark Memorial Hall today which was fun. Not a big audience, but they really enjoyed themselves, and the show rocked along. Note to self - jokes about dog's jobbies go down particularly well in Lanark.
When I got home I put into place some of Meghan's advice from yesterday and spent half an hour de-cluttering my office. Excellent advice it was too. My desk now is not exactly a sea of tranquility, but it is certainly less of a maelstrom than before I Asked The Decorator. Once again the power of Yes has produced a positive result.
Today's yes is a bit worrying. I was asked in an advert in the paper if I needed a new lease of life. Clearly this is not something I can turn down. Life's lease is clearly nearing the end of its term, and now that I am in my fifth decade I cannot turn down the offer of an extension to the tenancy.
And how do I go about extending my mortal tenure? Apparently the answer is to buy some gents Lacoste fragrance. It is very expensive, and I do not use aftershave. I have, of course, ordered it, but I fear that it is not going to enhance my life. I fear that the new perfume and the sideburns are going to lead a number of elderly ladies to hail me as the new Englebert Humperdink.
