Day 20 of The YES Experiment
If anyone's having difficulty following the theme of these blog entries, click on the link above and all will be explained.
At 7.30am this morning I was sitting having my second cup of tea, with my two (yes two!) children. My wife was wearing a rather becoming caftan, which made her look like an actress from a lesser known episode of Tales of the Unexpected. Radio Two was on in the background, and, as I slowly allowed my ears to attune, I realised that Eamonn Holmes was the presenter, and he seemed to be playing hymns.
How did all this happen to me? At one time Sunday mornings (if I saw them at all) were generally reserved for hangovers, and on at least one occasion I remember, for being sick on top of a pile of Golf Monthly magazines in the meter cupboard. It appears that my days of vomiting on top of a grinning Fuzzy Zoeller are gone.
On a more vigorous note, I popped into the office today to catch up on some work, and in my e-mail there was an invitation from a big Edinburgh firm to a posh do on the closing night of the Edinburgh Festival. There'll be food and drink and the biggest firework show of the year. I don't normally go to these corporate events, but the month of yes dictated a positive response.
