A simple Yes! today. I was having a browse in the Yahoo groups section in the Scottish Theatre section, when I found a question asking if anyone knew where to hire a flame machine. I do. So I answered, whereas I would normally have skipped on past the post.
If I were a religious person, I would expect my reward to be in heaven. But as I am not, I would prefer my reward to be in this life. I appreciate that there must be a trade off, so if there is an afterlife, I hereby waive my rights to a reward for today's e-mail response.
In return however, whoever gets my reply should note that I expect some free tickets for your gig. And a beer. And maybe a chat afterwards with the cast. And if you want to commission me to write your next play, then my advance fee would be reasonable. I think that I am deserving of this, given that I took twenty seconds out of my busy schedule to respond to your desperate plea.
