Oh dear. I have only just scraped over a thousand words tonight. It is easily my slowest day so far, and I can hear the Couch Potato singing his little song of delight as he readies The Grand Forfeit for Failed Novelists.
In fairness, Thursdays are my worst day becasue I play badminton straight after dinner and helping bath the small roundfaced people. I wasn't even sure I'd get anything done. It was with a somewhat slumped and tired sigh that I sat down at the laptop. But oddly, the words seemed quite easy to come by tonight.
On the positive side something which I thought was genuinely funny happened in the book tonight. It made me laugh anyway. My protagonist received an unexpected e-mail, which I think is going to take him in an unexpected direction. iI'm quite looking forward to seeing where he goes tomorrow.
I'd really like to notch up a good quota of words this weekend. I feel I have to get them under my belt early on in the month to give me a bit of a cushion. However, I also fancy a couple of pints and putting my feet up. Oh.... Temptation....
