Entry for 5th July, 2008

Well, those of you who are following rapid developments in this blog will not be at all surprised to learn that I have completed another of my 100STIs (Small but Tangible Improvements). That is ten. My life is already 10% better than it was before and appreciably better than yours. Soon, I will leave you behind completely, and will be moving in the circles of the super-organised. I expect that Linda barker will shortly be inviting me over for a dinner party. Enjoy me while you still can.
Today’s improvement was to hang another picture. If you were reading a few entries back, you will know that there is a certain degree of tension in my household over the hanging of pictures. However, today’s project seems to have passed without incident. (I don’t think she’s spotted it yet).
The picture is a print of a JD Ferguson picture of a girl in a yellow and blue dress. She has followed me around my various houses. I think it was the first picture I ever acquired for my first flat. Before I hung the picture I thought that it might be the time to leave her in the loft, or ship her off to the sale room. But I was wrong. Having her up on the wall is another step on the way to making my Little Castle on the Hill feel like home.
Linda Barker will no doubt approve.
