My pal has just sent me this ebay number - 150323118943.
It's an advert for a Volkswagen Fastback - my very first car. I am so tempted. It is orange. It has a number of important and serious sounding faults (something about "Heat exchange units"), but it is orange. And it has a cool number plate.
And it is orange. Did I mention?
Fond memories are flooding back. In damp weather the Fastback would not start at all. Before the drive to university, I needed to dry the engine out with a hairdryer.
One day the brakes failed altogether and I ended up halfway up a motorway embankment. Happy days indeed.
