My good but rather pedantic friend The Couch Potato, has pointed out that my posting from 2 days ago contains a mathematical error. He points out that 2 QCTs is not, in fact, 10% of 40 QCTs. I have run this through the mainframe, here at the Headquarters of Alan B's blogging empire (it looks like the Batcave, but with more empty packets of biscuits lying around) and I have to confirm that he is correct. That is why, when you are in need of financial advice, you must go to The Couch Potato, and should avoid me like the plague.
The news of the error has rather depressed me. For well over a year now, this blog has been a paradigm of accuracy. I know that many of you out there no longer go to CNN or BBC News 24 to find out what is going on in the world, but instead come here, to my little blog, to find out about what is really important in the world. Accuracy is important to me, and I can only hope that you accept my profound apologies for misleading you in any way.
I have purchased a hair shirt and have made one of those jaggy leg things that the creepy people in The Da Vinci Code strap to their legs. I did not have one to hand so I have improvised, using an elastic band, 2 bulldog clips and a stapler. It hurts my flesh, but it is a constant reminder that ACCURACY IS IMPORTANT.
