My Significant Other has been involved taking dancing exams all day, so I was looking after the Small Round Faced People on my own all day.
I am very tired.
I took them to the shops on the main street. We have bought the Round Faced Girl a little wrist strap so that she cannot stray to far from us when we toddle along the road pushing the round Faced Boy in the pram. Unfortunately the wrist strap is not short enough to prevent her (a) rolling around on her back on the floor of the butchers, and (b) knocking over an unusually large number of potatoes in the fruit shop.
Did I mention that I am very tired?
I was particularly tired at about 2 o'clock this afternoon, when I fell asleep in my own driveway after returning from a trip to see my unadventurous sister JJ. She is unadventurous because she is refusing to write a novel during the month of March, even though she would be very good at it. She cites lack of time. This is a poor excuse, and is very selfish of her.
If there was a war, then she would have time to make bombs and fight to protect her family and stuff like that. It is just a question of priorities. If she viewed the novel as a war, and imagined her home and family to be at risk if she did not write it, then she would do it. In many ways, her failure to write it is putting the nation at risk. I wonder what Tory demigod David Cameron would think about that? I imagine that he'd be annoyed and would make a speech decrying my sister to the Houses of Parliament. Then she would become an international pariah and would have to live rough in the hills of south Wales evading the SAS.
