Another of my 100 Small but Tangible Improvements to report to you my eager readers.
My efforts to bring my ailing car into remission continue. I have had it valeted. I am stingey however, and instead of going to somewhere professional, I had the work done at an establishment called “Honest Ron’s Car Valet and Money Laundering Emporium.” It is a place you can only find by word of mouth, situated as it is in an industrial estate behind a locked gate guarded by two burly men wearing balaclavas.
I fear that the proprietor of Honest Ron’s had a bit of a rush job on today. Perhaps he had an attaché case full of high quality diamonds to fence; or maybe he had a lorry container full of refugees from Wishaw to ship out to the Home Counties. Whatever the reason, he didn’t make a very good job of drying my upholstery. It was clean, but I fear the seat of my trousers will be moist for several weeks to come.
Never mind. It only cost forty quid Cash of course; know what I mean?
