It may have escaped your notice, but generally I try to make my blog entries funny.

Of course, the main reason that I blog is to feel like I am important; to feel like I matter; to feel like I am more than an insignificant speck in a frightening and ultimately oblivious universe. It is my tiny cry for immortality.
However, I have a secondary purpose. I hope you get a laugh now and then. Obviously I don't expect you to actually ROFLMAO. Or indeed to LOL. But the occasional WS (wry smile) is what I aim for.
So, if I have entertained you from time to time. If I have raised a smile, or let you while away five minutes at work before the five o'clock whistle blows (remember "Chigley"?), then get your credit card out and give whatever you can afford to Comic Relief.
You don't need it as muach as they do.
