Entry for 27th October, 2008 - Flaming Mussolinis!

I came home to find some Flaming Mussolinis on my door mat.
Now, I imagine that some of you have leapt to the conclusion that I had arrived to discover a horde of tiny Italian dictators from the 1940s scurryng around my hallway. You would not be correct, although I appreciate that the misunderstanding would be hilarious.
It is in fact the sort of misunderstanding that would have made for a very good episode of the Sunday Post cartoon strip The Broon. I can imagine Paw Broon overhearing Daphne and Eck talking about the Flaming Mussolinis in the hall. Paw's eyebrows would riase in horror, and by penultimate box of the strip he would be bursting into the hal with a bucket on his head and a Luger looted from the gangrenous hand of a German corpse during Paw's spell on the Western front.
Imagine Paw's surprise to find out that the Flaming Mussolinis are not in fact tiny Italian fascists from a bygone era, but a little known band from the nineteen eighties.
Hilarious!
