Entry for 26th November, 2008 - Internet mice

My internet connection is not particularly quick at the moment. I have my suspicion that the Internet Hub at Sky is actually a room where thousands upon thousand of wires are plugged into a little cage where a little white mouse runs around a treadmill. In my head the treadmill squeaks. Often the mouse has a little nap. At these point Sky internet users throughout the UK turn puce and shake their fists simultaneously at the screens of their laptops.
I am considering writing to the people at Sky suggesting that they improve their service by employing more than one mouse. That way, the little mice can work on a shift system. It would immediately double productivity and also would have the happy spin off of improving working conditions for rodent IT workers everywhere.
