Today I have been mostly engaged in working and listening to the Kate Nash album. Sometimes I have been doing the two more or less simultaneously, thus disproving all of you crowing women who claim that men can’t multi-task. You must all go out and buy Kate’s album “Made of Bricks” – it is funny and happy and sad and makes me feel a bit like a drunk teenager.
You don’t always need a DeLorean or a Tardis to whisk backwards through time. The right piece of teenage angst, with a catchy tune and some snappy snare drum can spirit you back through a few decades just as effectively, and the greenhouse emissions are negligible. A well-spun lyric can whip you back in an instant to a kiss and a fumble in a shop doorway, or to broken-hearted train rides through suburban towns.
I love a good album.
