Here are what I think are the key things which are needed to write a novel -
A well-structured story line
Rounded characters
Some training in creative writing
Lots of time
A calm environment
A theme
Intriguing sub plots
Here are the things which I actually have -
A half-baked idea
A laptop
A title (which I don't like)
A very busy life
Quite genuinely, I don't have any real ideas for the story nor any significant plot. I certainly don't have the foggiest notion of where the story will end.
This is all very worrying.
