There! I am less than six months behind with the blog entires. I am practically on the home straight now.
I was working at a hospital in Glasgow today and I decided to take the train. The station near my house has a line that runs almost directly to the hospital, so it seemed sensible. I felt self-righteous.I felt green. I felt the planet get tangeible cooler as I stepped onto the carriage. I felt my life becoming sustainable. I could swear that trees were bursting into greenery as we hurtled along the track.
I had been duped though. I was beguiled by the rail adverts that show happy and relaxed commuters, spending their commuting time happily working on their laptops, reading the paper and having sex in the toilet with the attractive young lady in the black two piece.
My train was not like that. My train was like one of those Japanese underground trains. Yo u know - the ones where they employ staff to push people onto the train to squeeze more in. The train did not take the strain. The train was sweaty. It was full of fat, unhappy people reading the Metro and listening to ipods.
I was one of them.
