Whew! I have made it into the virtual New Year. Those of you who are following the blogs, will have noticed my desperate attempts to catch up with the real world calendar, following my blogging sabbatical when I was finishing the book.
So, happy new virtual year to you all. I hope you all plan to celebrate this evening by rushing into your neighbours' house with some shortbread and a piece of coal, and then insisting they sit up until 4am singing along with you as you strum the ukelele and sing music hall songs from yesteryear. If you have any fireworks, I recommend you let them off at midnight: the parents and pet-owners in your estate will love you for it.
