Entry for 18th April, 2008

Welcome to the Blog of the Kindly Cuppa
40 Cups of Tea With 40 Friends
is my goal in life.
And it must be done before 10th July.
Click here to find out why.
If you would like to be my friend and earn a QCT (Qualifying Cup of Tea) then let me know.
No. of QCTs to date: 13
Thirteen. A dark and worrying number. A number of bad fortune. A number of black magic and evil deeds.
But not for me! For I have bagged my thirteenth QCT (Qualifying Cup of Tea). Here is me in my kitchen with The Webmaster. I know that most of you are following only the grand overview of my quest, but nevertheless for those of you who revel in the detail - for you proto-trainspotters and pedants - I am enjoying a cup of Tetley (milk, no sugar - but you know that by now don't you?) whilst The Webmaster is supping a raspberry fruit tea.
I know. I know. A raspberry fruit tea barely qualifies as tea at all. It is actually closer to warm fragrant dishwasher than the bitter, yet strangely reviving brew from the subcontinent. And if wasn't desperate to make my quota, I might well have disqualified this cuppa. But I have made a QCT Ruling: if it says "tea" on the outside of the box, then it counts. I am hoping that this will open the way to a number of you odd tea-haters to deluge me with requests for a light refreshment. Come on. Don't be shy. Fame, fortune, and recognition by my two regular readers awaits.
The Webmaster has a rather crestfallen look on his face. You may recall that he had the temerity to call into doubt whether I had really completed my 31 day novel. Here you can see him clutching it and recognising what a faithless friend he really is.
If he doubts me again, I will make him read it. That really would be a punishment.
