Entry for 17th November, 2008 - Horticultural medals

I see that Prince Charles has been awarded the Royal Horticutural Society’s Medal for Gardening. Not only that, but the Queen awarded it to him.
I am pleased to note that medals are not only reserved for war heroes returning home from Afghanistan with limbs missing and nerves shattered, but are also available to those who have served with valour on the battlefields of the herbaceous border.
“Look out Charles, the blasted dandelions are assaulting the vegetable patch. Call in air support.”
