My muse has ground to a shuddering standstill. Worse. I have had two pints of guinness and I don't care. My work of genius lies unattended. If I listen carefully, I can hear it calling to me from the hardrive of the laptop.
"Alan. Alan," it cries. "I am here. Trapped. In stasis. I need you to awaken me. To stir my primordial soup and give me life. I need your spark of inspiration my creator. Make me your monster Dr Frankenstein, and I will love you back. Lead me on."
But I do not listen, for I am a fickle novelist, carousing as I am with my Guinness. I blot out the plaintive cries from the laptop; the drink dulling my senses.
