Welcome to the Blog of the Kindly Cuppa
40 Cups of Tea With 40 Friends
is my goal in life.
And it must be done before 10th July.
Click here to find out why.
If you would like to be my friend and earn a QCT (Qualifying Cup of Tea) then let me know.
No. of QCTs to date: 11
I have been neglecting my hunt for QCTs (Qualifying Cups of Tea), and time is running out.
To help remedy things, here is a picture of me with The Charming Thespian, who will be playing Randall P McMurphy in my forthcoming production of "One Flew Over a Cuckoo's Nest". We are snapped having a rather refreshing brew up in his Edinburgh flat. We were in the middle of a photo shot, and just out of shot Lanarkshire's Leading Actress is struggling into a 1950s nurse's outfit. It is a tough job, being a little-known director of amateur plays, but rewarding in its own way.
The funniest moment of the day was when the three of us ran into 3 drunk Polish men. Somehow they had managed to get rolling drunk by noon. One of them - a cheeky chap whom we shall call Vlad - rather took a fancy to Lanarkshire's Leading Actress in her nurse's uniform. I surmised this from his leery thumbs up gesture and a grunt that indicated a certain degree of drunken Polish desire.
Of course, I may have misinterpreted. Perhaps he was actually ill, and his grunt was one of pain. Maybe he thought she actually was a nurse, out on NHS patrol in the back streets of Edinburgh. Even now, he is telling his friends back in Krakow of the the wonders of the UKs NHS where short skirted nurses wander the streets in search of ailing immigrants.
