Entry for 11th November, 2009 - The Punisher

I am not performing well at my weekly badminton sessions just now. My game is at a low ebb. My Trademark Jumping Smash is designed to wreak terror in the opposition: I am supposed to rise like from the court like a demigod rising to Arcadia, and then rain down my terrible wrath upon those on the other side of the net. At the moment however, the Jumping Smash is not wreaking terror. It is provoking laughter. And scaring some children who seem to be muttering something about "the purple fat man is having a spasm".
I am planning to raise my game though. Do not tell my playing partners but I have now acquired The Punisher. It is not really called that. It is called the Wilson Plus Badminton Racket. But I reckon, The Punisher is a better name. I may write to the marketing people at Wilson.
