Do you ever get that feeling that you are a fraud at your work? That somehow you have strayed into the adult world, sneaked past the guards, and have found yourself sitting amongst the grown ups. I get that feeling a lot. I sometimes think that, any minute now, someone is going to notice that I am the only one with short trousers at the boardroom table. And that I will be sent to my room after a sound ticking off about staying up after bed time.
The problem is that, until I am discovered, I will need to stay here in the adult world. And the longer I stay here, the less likely anyone is to realise I am an imposter. Maybe someday, I will have become so grown up that I will not remember the way back to Never Never Land. And all that will be left is a box at the back of the wardrobe. I'll notice it now and again when I hang my pinstripe suit up. But I won't really remember the old pirate's costume that's still in there.
And even if I did, the costume would be unlikely to fit any more.
